Cruising Newington is scheduled each year for the 2nd Thursday evening in June from 5:00 to 8:00. The rain dates are the 3rd and 4th Thursdays. The event is free to the public. The car owners are asked to donate to the CT Street Legends fund which is used for various local charities and projects. A DJ plays oldies music and there are street vendors as well as local restaurants. Over 200 vehicles line Market Square which is closed to thru traffic for the event
